Took a dual VHS DVD player in two years ago. Guy took money to look at it. I keep calling and calling but always an excuse why it’s not done. I finally gave up and bought a new one. Do not trust this business. It looks like I’m not alone.
He came, took $85 to diagnose the issue, and then gave me the run around for 2 weeks about not being able to find the part to fix it. This is all after saying how long he's been in the industry and how much he knows. If they can't fix the issue they shouldn't take so much or at least give back half of your money as a rule of thumb. Con man!
Had an issue with my Samsung where there was sound but no picture. On the recommendation of a friend of mine, I took it here for diagnosis and repair. Danny was great! Called me within an hour saying the backlight assembly needed replacing. He had it done within an hour. Can recommend him highly!
This guy takes 20 bucks to do nothing just keep the tv there . He tells you stories about fixing tv for 50 to 100 dollar to fix a tv . He also tell you stories about other people giving tv to friends and buying new tv and then the friend brings the tv to him and fixes for 50 dollar biggest lie ever . Don't listen to him at all and he shows you a box and say oh we need a repair kit to fix the tv and cost 20 dollars show the same box to everyone and a big lie . He fixed my sharp tv told me it would cost 320 bucks to fix it . We fixed it and today we got vertical lines on it . What a rip off .save your money go to someone else who is more honest and not this guy . He might set up a short term solution for a lot of money and no long term solution. Please be careful 320 dollars only lasted Me 1 month and a couple of days so his warranty of 30 days was done . Please be careful and save your money
I recommend this place to my dad after having a radio repaired here years ago. They seemed very honest and reasonable. My dad brought in a tv and was told it could be fixed for $130 (plus a $20 deposit). When we picked it up, we were told there was a slight line that didn't effect the picture at all. We get the tv home only to realize the line is absolutely horrible and greatly affects the picture. Do you not even test your repair before taking money?!?! NOT RECOMMENDED
In the disposable world that we live in where most people just throw away products that need fixing it is great to have a place like Dunbarton. I first stumbled across this repair shop a few years ago when I needed to fix a Paradigm sub-woofer. The manufacturer gave me an absurd cost to fix it so I started calling people in the Ajax area and fortunately found these guys who gave me an estimate that made it worthwhile to fix. The sub-woofer original cost me around $600 years ago and they fixed it for just over a hundred. I recently had problems with my 18 year old Marantz receiver and taken it to a certified dealer in the area and they told me it was unfixable and needed a new main board which was not available. This amp cost me originally well over a thousand dollars years ago and I was not ready to throw it on the scrap heap. So I called Dunbarton which I should have done in the first place and for around 200 dollars was able to get the amp up and running again. It would have cost me a hell of a lot more to replace it with a comparable receiver. I will recommend Dunbarton to anyone who needs electronics fixed and will be using them for all my future repair needs. Thanks for all your help.
Brought my 40" philips tv here because of a crack and the guy was very honest and told me it wasn't worth repairing as it would cost more to order the screen and fix it than buy a new one so I ended up seeing what he had for sale and we settled on a LG 1080p 40" for $250 which was an amazing deal! He ended up also letting me leave the old one there to get rid of so I wouldn't have to do it myself! Great service and would definitely recommend!
