Jackie is phenomenal!!! Stepped in and cleaned me up for my sister in laws wedding and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Will be coming back to see my girl again
I had my hair done here a couple of weeks ago. I used to visit this salon when it was under Italian ownership and always had a good experience. The new owners are friendly, but unfortunately, they don’t seem very experienced when it comes to hair. I left feeling pretty disappointed. The stylist applied color to my roots first, which resulted in noticeable “hot roots.” The color I requested didn’t match the extensions I brought, despite me being very clear about it. Rabia tried to reassure me that the color matched, but it clearly didn’t. While she was kind and the service overall was polite, the technical skills just aren’t there. She charged quite a lot for the dye, and it was evident during the process that she didn’t know how to properly execute the color application from start to finish. I regret coming here and unfortunately won’t be returning
Went for a quick trim and clean up. was only there for 10 minutes maybe 15 tops, and was charged $52. Over priced and didn’t listen much to instruction on how i wanted it. had to clean it up myself once home. won’t be going back. 1 star cuz 0 wasn’t an option
Ask about pricing. Half head foils with toner and a blow dry would be $300!! They charge extra for toner and dry and the rates are high to begin with. I ended up cancelling my appointment after I called to confirm pricing.
One star because I can't give zero. I had an appointment on Saturday, May 10th with Rabia at Wave Salon in Ajax for half highlights and a haircut. While Rabia was very pleasant, I am extremely upset and disappointed with the results of my haircut! Looking back, there were several red flags that made me uncomfortable, but I'm not someone who usually complains, so the fact that I'm writing this review says a lot. My biggest issue is how uneven my haircut is. I left the salon with wet, frizzy hair (despite her trying to "style" and diffuse it), so I didn’t notice it right away. But once it dried, it was clear that one side has significantly more layers than the other, and the lengths don’t match. Thinking back, she never checked for symmetry, and frankly, it shows as it looks like two different cuts on each side. I specifically asked for long layers (as I’ve always had them with my curly hair and they work best), but Rabia tried to talk me out of it, saying it would make my hair "too puffy" and didn't want to put any layers at all. I had to insist just to get minimal layers at the bottom (her suggestion).I also asked for two face-framing pieces near my chin to leave out when tying my hair up—but turns out, she only cut one side!!! I was so disappointed with how puffy and triangular my hair looked after the cut that I straightened it myself at home, hoping it would look better. Unfortunately, that only made things worse—the uneven layers and mismatched lengths became even more obvious (see attached photos). I also attached a photo of the back of my hair that same day (still not fully dry). I have no clue what she did, it looks so terrible! Now, I'm thinking she didn't know what long layers meant or how to do them because why is there two sizes of hair that is significantly different. I spent a lot of money to feel good for Mother’s Day, and instead, I feel worse! They were closed on Sunday, so I emailed Wave Salon with photos clearly showing how uneven my hair is, looking for a resolution. I emailed again, and no one has responded to me! I noticed that while she was doing my hair a lady was taking pics of my hair (without asking for my permission), of course no pictures were taken after my hair was done. I used to go to Wave and had my hair done by Nadia, who was amazing and always got it right. Unfortunately, she no longer works there, and after this experience, I won’t be going back either. P.s It's been over a week and I didn't hear back from anyone. What a disappointment. DONT GO HERE!!!!
Reply to owner reply - when the stylist was finished, I told her she cut it too short, and she also curled my hair, which now I see was to cover up the choppy cut job. She also didn't ask how I wanted my hair styled. I don't feel comfortable coming back because of the way you defended the stylist job, and I wouldn't trust a salon after receiving such a bad haircut. When I got home, I noticed the choppy cut after straightening my hair. I will be going to a different salon to fix the hair cut. Worst experience, the senior stylist cut my hair too short and left the layers choppy looking. I don't recommend
This place has really gone downhill. I went for a cut. Showed up 10 mins late. I was stuck waiting there for 30 mins while she blow dried a client. I walked out. Will never be back.
