I wish I could give them a zero. I had a horrible experience with the owner David. He cut 5 shelves for me for a curio cabinet, which I repeatedly told him it was for. He charged me way over other stores, left the fact out that glass needs to be polished to look good for a curio cabinet. He says he has been cutting glass for 50 years, wouldn't someone with that experience know that unpolished edges look ugly and wavy for a display cabinet? Isn't that his job to inform the customer of that?He even sold me sand papers to sand the edges myself. THE AUDACITY!!! Now says he can't take it back because the glass is already cut, which makes sence, but Had he been honest with me that his job wasn't good enough for a display cabinet, I would have never bought them. All the other stores prices include the sand and polish, he charged me $117 for a cheap unuseful job.
Useless, no specialist training, manager doesn't know anything about the proprietary brands, and they didn't even put me on hold when walking away; I could hear them talking about me before the transfer.
The customer service there is always amazing!! I had zero issues or concerns entering the store. Don't let the hysteria people are spreading about safety concerns stop you from shopping here. It is perfectly safe for all ages. You don't need any more awareness than you would anywhere else.
I’ve shopped many years at the Ajax Home Hardware and have always been happy with the customer service. Today, I needed to match deck stain I bought a couple years ago, however it was now discontinued. Kyle, a store associate, helped and after a few tries was able to match the previous colour perfectly. I want to say thank you to Kyle as he has a great attitude and was a pleasure to meet!
A lady named heather here was heavily medicated when trying to serve customers , looks very confused and decided to read a catalog when suppose to be checking us out Wont be back
A bit crowded, but a very good store. They probably have whatever you need. Just ask. They let you look around, but I found the aisles a bit cramped. Maybe that's because they have a jazillion items. Added later: It's nice the owner replied to me. I shop here because it is locally owned and operated. I mentioned it was "too hot" at a Home Depot once - maybe they would consider turning the heat down and save some energy? The answer was, they couldn't. It was controlled in Atlanta, Georgia. That's saying something.
What a mess! The store is too small to be a hardware store. I went in for a flyer item today and no one could find it, then when it was found, the price was wrong and I was charged regular price. When I mentioned it to the cashier, she had to manually input everything. This place needs a new location and upgraded POS, not to mention updating sale prices on the day the sales start. Not sure what I was charged for each item, I was only given a debit receipt for the purchase. I try my best to support small, local and Canadian business but this visit was just confusing and upsetting.
