First time going to this dealership with my old Range Rover to pick up some spares! Fantastic staff, extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I haven’t left a dealership with a smile in a very long time! Would highly recommend!
UPDATE: Since posting my original review, things have actually gotten worse, not better. I eventually found the issue with my local dealer a severe heater core leak, exactly what I told Lakeridge it was from the start. Two months of contradictory information and zero meaningful follow-through from Grand Touring's Lakeridge Land Rover. When I shared this with the general manager, his first instinct was to defend his technicians rather than acknowledge they delivered a vehicle with a serious problem. Customers are not the priority. Lakeridge's own service manager then told me they would coordinate with my local Land Rover dealer to complete the diagnosis/repair. He didn’t. The GM also promised to call around and try to find the heater core, since it was on backorder. He didn’t do that either. He did however meet with his staff so it doesn't happen to others. That was his priority. Not fixing the outstanding issue. Distance/timing/system down, all just excuses for terrible service. This wasn’t entry-level staff. These were managers and the General Manager making commitments and simply not following through. How do you justify that? The only reason the heater core was ever found is because I located it myself, 50KM away from Lakeridge. Even after the GM asked me directly what he could do to help, he failed to do the one thing he said he would - call around. Brutal. That’s the real Grand Touring experience, not the one they advertise online. The online experience is just marketing material, to seperate you from your money. Original review Recently bought a Land Rover Defender 130 from out of province and arranged to fly up and drive it back (a gift for my wife). Was planning on getting a new full size RR as well next month, will be going to a different dealership though, see below for why. Upon picking up the Defender there was a STRONG coolant smell through the interior vents whenever the heat was on. When I raised this with service at JLR Lakeridge, I was told: There had already been a coolant leak repair done right before selling it to me, (never disclosed to me) and that maybe the tech spilled coolant and that's what I smelling...great service guys... A part was missing/broken at delivery, which they had ordered and wanted me to come back for (also never disclosed, and they knew I was driving nearly 2,000km away). I asked what do I do, wait for you to ship the part or get local dealer to order it, no definite reply. If you knew the part was broken/missing and that I was driving across the country, why would you expect me to return? Seems illogical. I asked for the full service history so my local dealer could attempt to resolve their mistakes but after that request my emails and follow-ups were ignored. I don't matter since I'm not local. It feels like once JLR Lakeridge had my $106,000, I didn’t matter anymore. Now I’ll be paying my local dealer to fully inspect and figure out what else is missing or needs replacement. Is it really so hard to just reply to an email within 5 days after a few follow-ups? And please don’t post a generic “call us to discuss” reply, like your other bad reviews. You already have my phone number and the email chain, you chose not to respond there so you have all my contact information.
This place is a waste of your time. Make you come out only to give you reasons why you can't take the car for a spin. Basically told me to buy the car first and then I can drive it. Yeah ok. Avoid Fiona. She doesn't know what she's doing...
Absolutely loved Rob and Fiona. They were both friendly, full of knowledge and can put up with my husbands and my sense of humour which means they are great people. Will be recommending Lakeridge Jaguar/Land Rover to everyone
This was my first time buying a Land Rover . My husband and I did not know much about the Land Rover brand, but Rob was kind enough to take his time and go over each brand of car with us and how the car performed. I highly recommend going to this dealership. It was an amazing experience, and all of the staff were extremely nice. I will definitely buy from here again.
Purchased my vehicle here and have only served it here. My car was dropped off for repair and when I got it back something else was wrong, I was able to bring it back right away and was advised that the problem had nothing to do with what was repaired. The manager advised he would call me back to make an appointment to look at the problem in more details but a call was never received.
Incredible Experience With Trish & Rory! Both of them worked tremendously hard to get me a new vehicle in a very quick period of time after my car was totalled in an accident. I am so grateful for the thoughtfulness & customer service! This dealership goes above and beyond to service their clients!!
