It is a hidden gem. We randomly pick this restaurant. It was surprisingly better than I expected. The food was better than a lot of ,Japanese restaurants in Markham. The sushi is fresh. I like the sushi rice which has a good balance of vinegar. The pressed sushi is surprisingly good. The hand draw xmas card is cute. 10% discount for paying cash. It deserves more customers. In my opinion, it is more a sushi restaurant than Izakaya. Pls go there if you are in the area. Wish it all tue best.
Stopped in really quickly for a spicy salmon roll and it was made to perfection. The flavours were well balanced and the salmon didn’t have a weird fishy flavour. The server was really nice as well. Would definitely return to try other items on their menu
Love their torched sushi! This time I tried the unagi torched sushi and it tasted great. I also enjoyed the crab salad. I love that it’s a quiet cozy place that I can enjoy a meal alone in peace.
Really nice atmosphere, Service was top-notch by the waiters, they were very friendly and polite. The food was excellent, we tried the flame torched sushi, salmon poke and the portion was decent for the quality of the food. We also had some drinks.
Tucked away in the Pickering Village. Well priced, good food and great service! Quality Japanese food! Can't wait to go back. My daughter really enjoyed it too!
I enjoyed the food I purchased. It was recommended by a friend and I grabbed the take out for us. The only bother was that I specifically requested no wasabi and it was on my order. Wasabi causes intense GI upset for me, hence the restriction. Perhaps the server applied the restriction to the wrong order - not sure. But I ate my lunch with concern about the exposure and that reduced the overall enjoyment.
A subtle sushi place in the Pickering village that offers patio seating as well. There isn’t a lot of sushi options in Pickering, and the ones that are there aren’t the greatest. But this spot captures what sushi is. The quality is great and their presentation is well done. If you’re in Pickering, Ajax or even east Scarborough, give this place a chance you won’t regret it.
