This store ripped me off. They charged an activation fee that doesn’t exist online and added $5 extra for the SIM card while pretending in-store and online prices are the same. They never revealed the higher in-store costs, which is flat-out misleading. Avoid this place. Do everything online if you don’t want to get scammed.
This store ripped me off from the moment I walked in. They charged me an “activation fee” that doesn’t even exist online, then added an extra $5 for the SIM card while pretending the in-store and online prices are the same. They never disclosed that the store is more expensive they just quietly tack on charges and hope you don’t notice. There is no activation fee online, yet they still forced me to pay one. This place survives by misleading customers and squeezing every extra dollar they can. Never walk into this store. They will rip you off. Always do everything online if you don’t want to get scammed. Avoid this place completely. I have all the evidence to prove my accusation.
Amazing service!!! Honestly helped me so much. Sumanth was awesome at getting my phone hooked back up and I would suggest Telus to my friends and family for Great service.
I came in to see if they can help me with my sim card. The male agent briefly asked what my reason for visit and I asked him if sim card expires and he confidently said no. I scheduled a call back from koodo earlier in the morning and the koodo agent over the phone told me that after 2 years sim card gets deactivated when not in use. I patiently waited 1 hour as there was 1 person ahead of me upgrading his phone at the store. When it was my turn, I told the agent in store that I lost my sim card during my trip and that I had an extra sim card that is over 2 years old. When I tried to change it through self serve it states that sim card is already being used. The agent at the store said he misunderstood my situation. He thought my sim card was active and not in use so it shouldn't expire. He then agreed with koodo agent over the phone that sim card do expire as it is reused by koodo when not in use. He proceeded to offer me $10 discount for the long wait so I'd just pay $10 for porting the new sim and $15 for the new sim card. I then refused the service and offer to just buy the sim card as I can just port it myself through self serve. I would've been better off buying the sim card at the start instead of giving me a false hope of trying to help me with my old sim card and wasting 1 hour of my time. He could've also given me the sim card complimentary or match the $10 price online and I'd have been happy with that.
The guys in here will get you a phone and they will try and do their best to get you what they think is a good phone plan but they’ll do it out of your pocket. They hooked me up with protection plan for my phone, but I never asked for it. They also hooked me up with additional fees for Amazon prime, they made my phone bill $40 more than it should’ve been and they also added a $60 activation fee. I don’t understand what did they do all I did was get a new phone I put my Sim card in it.
Visited this location to switch my service to Koodo. Aaron was super helpful and insightful. He recommended a very good plan with lots of data, bang for a buck!
Today I went in to upgrade my Android. I met with Braydon. He was extremely helpful and had all the answers to my questions. He offered different plans/options, he was kind and patient. Thank you Braydon.
