I agree with the other one star reviews. The service here has definitely taken a downwards turn. I have spent quite a bit of money at this location for my two dogs...... There are 4 other Pet Stores that are Closeby that will now get my business.
My beloved dog is ill with leukemia and was not eating. The staff and owner of this store showed me so much kindness and compassion. They gave me samples of different types of food and I was able to entice her. I will never be able to thank them enough. They are very special people.
I visited Pet Valu in Ajax because I sourced a low phosphorus wet cat food that was available at that location. I was greeted by the owner when I arrived, and she went out of her way to also help me find a dry kibble that would be suitable for the specialized needs of my cat. The store was clean, well organized and well stocked!
Very friendly! I brought my adopted dog there for the first time to check the shower area. They were very helpful and understanding as my dog came from a kill shelter from Korea, so Toronto is brand new to him. They let me roam around the store to let him get comfortable and then let me slowly try to test the waters with him. In the end, he loved it and was willing to come back.
We often visit this location when they have a veterinary tech on site for nail clipping. When we visit, the staff is extremely kind and caring towards our dog. The staff is also very knowledgeable about the products they carry and have given us great recommendations over the years.
My little guy wasn't digesting his food so well, the team helped me through the process and guided me to a bag that my dog now is rather enjoying and digesting properly
This. $10 dog wash WAS Ah May Zing! It was. Apparently it's unhygienic to allow for brushing pre bath so the shower clogged with hair and it became a mess trying to get her squeezed dry. You offer a space to bathe an animal that can potentially pee or poop or parts thereof but hygienically speaking I can't brush the hair before a bath so it doesn't clog? God knows now how much hair is down that drain. I'm converting my laundry sink to a stall to avoid using this service from here on. Fiona my cat ;) had a wonderful time! It was nice. $17 later no thanks.
