Horrible service. Someone recommended them to me so I went and they were so rude. I know nail salons dont always have the best service but this was he absolute worse and I vowed to never go back to them despite the convenience of how close I live to them.
Next time when a customer comes in perhaps you should greet them so that theyre not sitting down for 35 minutes. Basic customer service skills like hello, Im sorry were all booked for the day couldve prevented this.
I got my nails done here for my first time. Ever since trying other places, I realized that this place is literally the best. I love how the staff takes their time with your nails until theyre perfect and arent overwhelmed about their waiting customers. Im not surprised why its gotten so busy lately, its a go to! Very experienced staff, totally worth your time.
First off, make sure you book an appointment before going because this is probably the most popular nail salon in Durham. They are all great, my fav nail tech is Tom of course. Kelly does the best painting and designs, you can literally show her a picture and she brings it to life on your fingers. They take their time and I appreciate that. I can't even get mad when they are busy because I know exactly why. Thankful to know there's a good nail salon out there for once!
This is my second time coming here. They are always very busy but I made sure to come right when they opened instead of making an appointment. My first time here, I had a very good experience. My shellac acrylic nails were really well done and I was satisfied with the cost. However I've just gotten back from Tony's and I'm very unhappy because my fingers are in so much pain, especially the cuticles on my middle three fingers on both hands. This is only my second time having acrylics so I looked it up, and painful cuticles is not a normal thing. My technician was way too rough. I paid before I finished getting them done so I wouldn't have to wait until my nails dried, but I regret the $5 tip, should have only given her $2. I really hope this pain subsides. Next time, I will speak up if I feel they are being too rough. Might not go to Tony's though. I'm a long time customer of Hip Hop Nails, Tony's was just closer to my house and I didn't have a car at the time.
