A little pricey, but they had everything I was looking for, produce department was great, and Air Miles..bonus.
A little expensive but always a clean store and helpful staff!!! Never had an issue here... recently starting closing at midnight so may affect those who work odd hours but otherwise great location. Meat department is especially helpful, they will make you a fresh package if you request it.
Fast checkout even though the cashiers shift had ended 3 minutes before I got there. Last place that had frozen stuffed turkeys left too.
I was just in sobeys at 352 pm today the lady working the customer care counter and lotto shouldnt be looking after customers. As soon as I approached theCounter the immediate response was a push off that there open In lane 4 or 6 .Never asked me what I wanted till I walked away. This is not the normal person that is usually there. I think it was one of the managers she as probably covering for someone she had more important things t do then look after the customer .
Today I was getting a few groceries at the Westney location in Ajax with my little boy (I come here about once every week or two, probably more) and I always go to the self checkouts (it is always the same lady at the self checkouts when I go so I know she recognizes me). I had a Father's Day in the bottom of my stroller that I had forgotten about that I had bought from Chapters back in June. The lady then accuses me of trying to steal the card while I was paying for my actual items, I explained to her that I had bought the card months ago and that it was from Father's Day, that the store doesn't even sell Father's Day cards anymore. She demanded to take the card to see for herself (which I understand since it could have been any card) so I let her take it to look at it, then she asked me for the receipt. I then explain I had bought it months back IN JUNE WHEN IT WAS FATHER'S DAY so I obviously no longer had the receipt, it had been there for months. She went on to giving me a dirty look and refused to give me my card back. Meanwhile people are starring at us and my little boy is watching this lady rudely accusing of stealing from the store we had loyally shopped at for years. I am embarrassed and outraged that she treated me this way. I understand stopping shoplifting, but I have never done such thing especially in front of my son at a store we are always at. Father's Day was MONTHS ago, what common sense was used in this situation? Why would I be stealing a Father's Day card in the middle of August? I told her to keep the card, that I didn't need it since Father's Day is almost a year away, so now I have thrown away a $8 card for nothing. I do not normal take pitiful situations to heart or go out of my way to complain, but due to this humiliating event, I will no longer be returning to this store.
