They've been selling beer here now for awhile. That's great! The staff here are very friendly too.
Very clean and well stocked. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are fantastic with my kids, especially the seafood department. My youngest loves the lobsters! I love that they provide free fruit to children. Can't go wrong with a nice healthy snack that will keep them quiet for a bit while mama shops!
I go here pretty frequently considering I live about a five minute walk from there. I've never been disappointed and I've been going there since Sobeys took over for IGA ? Can't remember it's been so long. Big selection of wine and beer now. Saves me driving so that's a bonus. Parking can be a little frustrating at times. Lots of morons parking right out front in the fire lane. Just lazy ignorant people that can't walk an extra twenty feet. Probably the same people that leave their damn carts in the middle of the isle.
This is arguably my favourite Sobeys in the area. It's a former IGA location so it's smaller than the new build Sobeys in the area. I find this size means they get very focused on what items come in and it happens to work out that a lot of what they bring in is what I like to have.Sunday night visits (one of my more common shopping times) see a lower number of registers open and in some cases only the customer service area registers and the self checkout.
Always find what I need and then some. Seems if I go in for a couple of items I come out with a half a cart full. It's nice having a larger selection of wine and beer now. I live not even a five minute walk away so it saves me driving up to the LCBO. I've always been very happy with the butcher cut meats. It's just a shame they are no longer open 24 hours. But I get it, if the business wasn't there why stay open all night. Nobody really needs to go in at 3:30 am to buy pork chops.
