We celebrated a special birthday at Katz’s tea house yesterday. Best high tea I have ever had. I have experienced Queens landing and the old Mill. Katz’s food was delicious and her place is so pretty. Can’t wait to come again in the fall.
This is really a 5 star experience. Kaz provides so much delicious food and tea with lots of extra touches that make your experience with her magical. I highly recommend you try this
All the lavish treats that you expect at fancy high tea rooms - finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, jams, and decadent sweets are found in a cozy home in Ajax called Kaz's Tea Room. Christine has created a wonderful and welcoming environment. A wonderful selection of teas. From the ones you are familiar with like English Breakfast to something so unique and wonderful as Purple Chocolate. The Brie & Fig Jam sandwich will live on in my dreams and the Skore Cheesecake was worth the extra time on treadmill. With Sping arriving do treat yourself or a circle of friends to this lovely tea room.
I was looking to order afternoon tea for takeout just for myself (had a day of laziness planned ?) and did a search in Durham. Kaz's came up and after looking at their website, photos, and past reviews, I decided to give it a try. I email and inquired about the menu and accommodation (vegetarian for me), and Kaz replied back promptly and with the tea selection. After picking what I'd like, I placed the order a couple of days in advance and picked up for the Sunday. From the moment Kaz greeted me, to getting my order, payment and then going home to savour it, the whole process was great. You call tell Kaz takes great pride in what she does. The $40 is well worth what's included - 5 different mini sandwiches, a spread of delectable desserts, as well as your tea preference (I chose Very Vanilla). I plated everything nicely on plates once I got home, steeped the tea, and enjoyed a lovely afternoon of self care while reading my book in the backyard and enjoying Kaz's creations. Highly recommend ordering - I know I will do again in the future.
