The fried chicken was tasteless, the vegetables were over-cooked, the rice had no peas, and the Oxtail was overly oily. Finally, the cashier's etiquette was in the trash.
Mi say the man sold me stale stew chicken around 11:30 am, heading to work for 12, no rice cooked, and I settled for food!! But the chicken is stale, I got a small, paid $18.70, no drink.. not nice, im a regular customer, and those are the ones them a sell to and get away with it.. come on dred, u do me wrong. Mi nah feel like coming bk there

Awesome little eatery with authentic Jamaican food. Good sized plates of delicious food for really good prices. Food is served right away so it's a good spot for on the run. Only giving 4 stars on the atmosphere because there is no seating inside, but luckily there are picnic tables really close in front of Michael's.
Very disappointing. Placed an order for 1 oxtail and 3 stewed beef. After receiving the order it ends up being 4 oxtail. At first while contacting the restaurant they kept insisting that it is what we ordered. Later the owner said they did not have the stewed beef. So what actually happened is they took the order, realized they don't have the items and just replaced it with something else without contacting us. The argued that he can't afford to compensate for the order, then offer to compensate 1 and finally 2. We did not take any compensation because at the end of the day we just wanted the food we ordered. It would have been a much lesser disaster if the oxtail was at least good; it was dry, mostly bone and just unpleasant. Came here from a recommendation and will never purchase again.
My co-worker has now become a good friend who brings me Jamaican cuisine from this restaurant all the time and man oh man I love it! Excellent 10/10!!!!
Had high hopes after reading the reviews. Flavour was average at best, and the portion of rice & beans significantly outweighed oxtail. Amounts of small bone shards in the goat was excessive.
