HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND HENRY DESJARDINS AUTOMOTIVE. I honestly can't say enough good things about these guys. They're by-far the most fair, honest, reputable, efficient mechanic shop in the Durham Region (and likely beyond). These guys work with integrity. I purchased a pre-owned car a few years back (Honda HRV). I was taking my car to the dealership for regular maintenance (oil changes) because they offered a free car wash (I figured BONUS). I took it in at the end of 2023 for an oil change and a recall. Honda also suggested that I get a bunch of other work done as per their maintenance schedule (brakes, diff fluid change, trans fluid change, etc.). I decided to forego the additional work at that time and take my car to my regular shop (Desjardin's Automotive). I didn't go there immediately either, I waited a few months (mid 2024). Spoke to Henry, I dropped the car at the shop, told him I needed a brake job. He proceeds to call me hours later to tell me they had removed my wheels and that all of my brakes were still in good working condition. Basically, "you don't need a brake job yet. Come back next year" AWESOME!! They could have just removed the brakes (as requested) and replaced them, but it wasn't necessary and they were honest about it. Told me that they knew I'd be back when the time was right. And they were right! Well.....it's now October 2025, I'm thinking I should probably go get that brake job, they've got to be low and winter is coming. Better to be safe than sorry. I called Henry last week, told him I needed a brake job, dropped the car at the shop and waited for his phone call. Hours later, he calls. "We removed all of your wheels and you still don't need a brake job. You're at a 5 (mid-way). We're not changing them yet. We'll have another look next year." UNREAL!!! Honestly, UNREAL!! That's twice now that these guys have saved me unnecessary work. Two years ago Honda would have changed my brakes and charged me an arm and a leg to do it. I don't think I have to tell you that a dealership is NOT the right place to be getting regular work done on your vehicles. BUT, if you're looking for an AWESOME mechanic/repair shop, these guys are where it's at!! I promise you will not be disappointed. Needless to say, I'll be going to see Henry & the folks at Desjardin's for as long as I own a vehicle. THANK YOU TO THE TEAM AT HENRY DESJARDINS AUTOMOTIVE. Keep being AWESOME!!!

Henry Desjardins Automotive took care of me today, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’d been having issues with my front passenger tire for a few days. I called them in the morning, and to my surprise, they fit me in the same day. They quickly found the issue, patched the tire, and had me back on the road in no time. You just don’t find service like this anymore. They’re professional, knowledgeable, reliable, and fast — they truly know their stuff. From now on, I won’t take my car anywhere else. Henry is very honest, and his prices are extremely reasonable. I was referred here about 3 years ago by a good friend, and I have kept coming back because I really trust his opinion. My cars are both 15+ years old, so there is always something to fix.
Took my car here to get a new starter. I received a call saying my car is unsafe to drive and needed 2100$ of repairs. I’ve never had concerns with my cars safety so I took my car to a different mechanic who had no concern of my car being unsafe on the road, just needed my rear breaks replaced for 775$. Just beware if you’re a young women they will try to find problems with your car and overcharge you.
I had concerns about a rattling sound in my car whenever I started it. Brought it in to get checked. They took the time to do a thorough inspection at no cost. Will definitely return here for future servicing.
Best price for a wheel alignment. Dealership mechanic messed up my alignment and blamed it on something else. Henry Desjardins fixed the problem with a simple wheel alignment. In and Out under an hour. Will definitely come back with future repairs!! Thank you!
